There have been several recent studies on Internet Usage in America and abroad. We took the time to aggreate the data together and show the usage for the whole world.
According to our numbers, taken from several sources who measure internet traffic, and from our own look, Internet use in America has hit an all time high with nearly 56% of the adult population using the internet. Nearly 74% of American Kids have access to the internet either from school, home, or another source. Around 30 Million American kids below age 18 use the internet on a regular basis.
By comparison 98 percent of U.S. households own a television, and 94 percent have a telephone. On a typical day, nearly 58 million American's use the internet.
In comparison with the rest of the world in total number of people using the internet, the United States wins hands down. There are nearly 4 Americans using the internet for every 1 user in the rest of the world or 1 user in 5 users on the internet isn't American. This doesn't mean that internet growth isn't growing exponentially in the rest of the world. China the worlds most populous region is growing at nearly 300% each year. The United States grew in internet use by 16 Million to reach 104 Million people in just the second half of 2000.
The United Kingdom is next to China, growing nearly 40% each year. Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and South America are also growing steadily.
