The DOOM 3 Engine was recently showcased on Feb 22, 2001 at the MacWorld expo in Tokyo. John Carmack one of the original creators of DOOM and the main programmer at id Software has been working hard on the next DOOM, and most notably the next 3D Engine from id Software. Doom originally started a revolution in computer games back in 1991, and John Carmack has continually pushed the limits of todays computers in blurring the lines of reality with his 3D Engines for games. The most recent Engine from id Software was the Quake III Engine and it has been licensed to over 20 companies to use in their games. Now the new DOOM III engine was showcased. You have to see this to believe it.
