IE 6 ships with Windows XP, but it's also available now for other Windows OS's.
Coming somewhat as a surprise, Internet Explorer 6 has been released.
You may download Internet Explorer 6 for Windows 98, ME, NT, and all versions of 2000 by following the link above.
IE 6 had previously been scheduled for release following Windows XP official launch in October, but Microsoft decided it's ready now.
Among the new features included in Internet Explorer 6 are the media bar, which allows users to play music, video and mixed-media files without opening a separate window. The IE 6 image toolbar lets users e-mail, print and save pictures found on the Web.
Internet Explorer 6 was leaked on the web as an early beta back in January. The Public IE 6 Preview program quickly followed in March.
